Susan Bachman went missing July 4 - for immediate release

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE    July 4, 2014

This morning at about 8:30 am, a 37 year old Centre County woman, Susan Bachman, jumped out of a car by mile marker 77 West on Interstate 80 while travelling at nearly the speed limit.  She survived the bail-out and disappeared into the woods next to the highway.

She was being driven by her father, William Bachman, to an appointment at the Clarion Psychiatric Hospital.  The State Police responded with numerous search teams including firefighters from Jefferson County, bloodhounds, search and rescue teams, and a police helicopter.  The search continued for five hours but she was not found. 

The police and her family would like anyone with information on the incident or anyone who has seen Susan today to call the DuBois State Police at 814-371-4652.
