Update - spoke with Pennsylvania State Trooper on the possible sighting

We spoke with a Pennsylvania State Trooper on the possible sighting of Susan that took place at 3 a.m. this morning.

The sighting took place on a dirt road in a heavily forested area.  The location is approximately 9 miles from where Susan was last seen on Friday so she certainly could have walked that distance.

If it was indeed Susan, the sighting means that she is still alive and able to get around, and we are of course deeply hopeful that this proves to be true.

Apparently the woman who was seen got off the road when the car approached, as if she did not want to be seen.  This would suggest that if is was indeed Susan, that Susan has been avoiding all contact with people since Friday morning.  We hope that she has been able to find water and food.

The sighting reinforces how helpful it is to share the story with your friends and neighbors.  The driver of the car did not call the police until 8 a.m.  While we haven't spoken to the driver to understand why the driver did not call 911 right away, we assume that the driver read about the story on Monday morning in the paper or head about it from someone.  So please do spread the word.

We understand that the Track & Trail Search and Rescue, Inc. team will be searching the area with a dog this afternoon.
