Seeking volunteers for July 7 search of area where Susan disappeared

We are seeking volunteers for a search of the forested area where Susan disappeared, near Brookville, just off of I-80.  In addition to looking for Susan, we will also be looking for any clues or traces of her. Hunters and others with experience in the woods are particularly requested to join in the search.

The search will get underway on Monday, July 7 at 12 noon.

The search party will meet at the Travel America truck stop just off Exit 78 of I-80 at 12 noon on Monday July 7.  From there we will proceed to the location where Susan fled into the woods.

If you plan to participate, we ask that you email us so we have a sense of how many people are coming and can coordinate the activities. Please send:
Name, phone number, email address to FindSusanBachman@gmail.com

Susan jumped out of a moving car and ran into the woods around 8:30 a.m. on Friday, July 4.  Given that she tumbled several times after jumping out of a moving car, she may have internal injuries, and we fear that she may still be in the woods.

While the state police did coordinate a search on July 4, we want to make a final effort to search the area while there is still a chance that Susan could still be alive.  Monday morning will be 72 hours since she disappeared, and if she does not have a source of drinking water, she would be near the limit of her ability to survive.

  1. Dear Bachman Family,
After living with Susan during our 16 month nursing program I know she has a kind soul and good heart. I am very saddened to hear this. I am thinking about your family and praying for her safe return. Please let me know what I can do to help you through this difficult time.

  2. I don't know Susan, or her family, but I hope she is found quickly. One thing that we can do is to share this on social media.
